When we opened Virtu's doors in Q3 2022, our first client was Dell.
Specifically, we were embedded with one of their cybersecurity teams — the kind of work where the most interesting details are also the ones we can't share. What we can say is that the engagement involved a large, mature codebase, sensitive infrastructure, and a team that needed senior partners who could move quickly without breaking things that had been carefully built over years.
That experience set the tone for how we operate now. A few things we took from it:
We're comfortable inside large codebases. We don't need a greenfield repo to do good work. We're as effective contributing to systems with deep history and complex dependencies as we are starting from scratch.
We treat confidentiality as a baseline, not a feature. NDAs, security protocols, restricted access, careful handling of what gets discussed publicly — none of that is friction for us. Every engagement gets the same level of discretion, regardless of size.
We work well with mature engineering teams. Some studios are best suited to founders who need a full team. We do that, too — but we also know how to plug into an existing org and add value without disrupting the rhythm of a team that already knows what it's doing.
We've been fortunate to work with a range of clients since, from early-stage founders to established companies, and the pattern has held: we go deep, we keep things quiet, and we ship.
