Sigil — a quiet project we're bringing back

Some projects come back around.

In 2023, we built the first version of Sigil — a productivity and utility app for tattoo artists, on web and mobile. The pitch was simple: tattoo artists run small businesses with surprisingly complex workflows, and most of them are juggling three or four different tools to handle what should really live in one place. Booking. Payments. Waivers. Client communication. All of it, fragmented across apps that weren't built for the work.

We built v1 to be the one place all of it could happen.

The app was built, went through rounds of QA, and taught us a lot — about the workflow, about the artists, and about what a tool like this needs to feel like to actually get adopted. Then we set it down for a while to focus on other work.

We're picking it back up.

Sigil v2 is in development, with a launch in late 2026- early 2027. We're keeping the details quiet for now — partly because we want the new version to speak for itself when it lands, and partly because the artists who'd use it are the same ones who'd benefit most from a few surprises.

What we can say is that v2 is a real rebuild, not a refresh. Everything we learned from v1 — what worked, what missed, what the artists we talked to actually wanted — is informing the next version. The same core promise (booking, payments, waivers, communication, all in one place), built better.
